Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain accurate seismic information by correcting seismic information at a central control center using temperature data from a strong motion seismograph. SOLUTION: Temperature at an installing point of a strong motion seismograph 10 measured by a thermometer for measuring the ambient temperature is inputted to a data processing section and stored therein along with a seismic data. At the same time, the seismic data (b) and the temperature data (a) at the time of occurrence of earthquake are transmitted on a telephone line 7 from the data processing section of the strong motion seismograph 10 through an exchanger 20 to the host computer 21 in a central data control center upon request therefrom. The temperature data (a) and the seismic data (b) are processed at the operating section 22 of the host computer 21. More specifically, an operation for correcting the sensitivity of a ground sensor built in the seismograph 10 depending on the temperature variation, and an operation for correcting the seismic data based on the corrected value are performed at the operating section 22. According to the arrangement, an accurate seismic data can be obtained.
