Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful as a surfactant, an encapsulation agent, a protein extractant, etc. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I [R is a group of formula II of formula III (the valance which an oxygen atom has is a valence to be bonded to a hydrogen atom); A is an (unsaturated) saturated straight/chain or branched chain/containing 6-32C hydrocarbon chain; with the proviso that a compound in which R is CH2 -CH(OH)-CH2 OH and A is a 16C, 20C or 32C saturated straight-chain hydrocarbon chain is omitted] such as n-decanediyl-1,10- dimethanesulfonate. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a 6-32C α, ω-alkanediol containing an (unsaturated)saturated straight-chain or branched- chain with a compound of the formula R'SO2 cl (R' is a straight-chain or a branched-chain alkyl, aryl, etc.), then with a compound of the formula R-OH (the valance of an oxygen atom is determined by bond to a protecting group) and eliminating the protection group. |
