Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robbery prevention device for a vehicle for improving the reliability of a robbery prevention function without adding a new robbery prevention mechanism. SOLUTION: A robbery prevention device is so formed that the input side of a theft prevention control unit 1 incorporating a memory means 1a for storing an preset ID code and a decision means for comparing and deciding the set ID code with an inputted ID code is connected to an ignition switch 4 and an input means 5 of the ID code, and the output side is connected to an ignition coil 7 and a display means 6, and the control unit 1 is so set as to let the display means 6 display the input requirement display of the ID code based on the closing of the ignition switch 4, decide whether the ID code inputted by the input means 5 is same as the set ID code or not according to the requirement display, when it is the same, provide an ignition signal to the ignition coil 7, and, when it is not the same, actuate and control the ignition coil 7 not to provide the ignition signal.
