Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the on-screen display position automatically regardless of dispersion in the electronic circuit without manual operation by measuring a time from the leading of a horizontal synchronizing signal till the leading of a display signal. SOLUTION: A correction time detection section 4 detects a leading of a horizontal synchronizing signal H placed just before a reference signal Rf based on an output of a horizontal synchronizing signal counter section 3 and an output of a horizontal synchronizing signal detection section 1 and then detects the leading of the reference signal Rf based on an output of a reference signal detection section 2 to obtain a time T1 between both the leading signals. Then an on-screen display signal Ons1 is displayed at a reference position in a horizontal direction for the on-screen display at a display device and a time T2 is detected similarly to the case with obtaining the time T1. Then a difference between the times T1 and T2 is discriminated to be a deviation between the on-screen display positions and a display controller 103 is controlled to adjust the start position of the on-screen signal Ons1 to correct the display position.
