GAS FILTER FOR GOVERNOR STATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and easily detach or attach a filter element and to suit city gas to mass transport under a high pressure by screw-joining a cap nut for fastening a presser plate to the end edge of the filter element to the thread part at the outer tip of a guide. SOLUTION: The city gas to be filtered is introduced into a main-body vessel 1 from an inlet nozzle 4, allowed to flow in direction of the arrow and passed inward through an element stack 16 in the radial direction, and the dust in the gas is collected by the element stack 16. The city gas freed from dust is introduced into an oulet pipe 6 from a perforation 7, discharged from an outlet nozzle 15 and transferred to a pressure governor in the subsequent stage. Accordingly, since the length of the shell of the vessel 1 and the number of the element stacks are adjusted in accordance with the amt. of gas to be treated, the gas filter is economically fabricated, the deposition of dust on bolt and nut is prevented, and the element stack is smoothly and easily changed.
