Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling container for an oxide superconductor for reducing a temperature gradient inside the oxide superconductor by preventing the oxide superconductor from being abruptly cooled when a refrigerant is introduced, and preventing a temperature difference between the upper and lower portions of the oxide superconductor from being enlarged. SOLUTION: A cooling container comprises a refrigerant tank 1 and vacuum tanks 2, 2' surrounding the refrigerant tank 1. A refrigerant introducing port 3 and a refrigerant gas exhaust port 4 are formed at the upper portions of the refrigerant tank 1 and the vacuum layer 2', respectively. A refrigerant flowing path 5 for introducing a refrigerant through the refrigerant introducing port 3 is formed inside the refrigerant tank 1. An oxide superconductor 7 is placed at a position out of contact with the refrigerant flowing path 5 and a bottom 8 of the refrigerant tank 1.
