Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decrease Barkhausen noises with the reproduced signal of a spin valve type magnetic head and to carry out stable operation by forming an Ni oxidized film of a rhombohedron structure and setting the angle formed between the crystal axes in the Ni oxidized film at the state of the value smaller than a specific value. SOLUTION: This magneto-resistive element is mounted at the magnetism detecting part of a magnetic recording state detecting element utilizing magnetic reluctance. The Ni oxidized film is used in this case as a bias layer for generating exchange bond magnetic fields. This Ni oxidized film is formed of the rhombohedron structure and the angle formed between the crystal axes is set in the state of the value smaller than 60 deg.. When this element is mounted as a head material at the spin valve type magnetic head, the spin valve type magnetic head which obviates the appearance of distortions of the signals by the Barkhausen noises in the reproduced signals is obtd. The production of the magneto-resistive element which makes stable operation is simultaneously made possible.
