Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highten substantial communication speed by preventing the saturation of an amplifier for amplifying the output of a light receiving element to shorten a time required to turn a transmission state to the receivable state. SOLUTION: An infrared-ray data communication equipment is provided with a switch 12 for controlling connection between the output terminal 17 of the light receiving element D2 and the input terminal 18 of the amplifier 13 which amplifies the output of the light receiving element D2 and by controlling the operation of the switch 12, the output from the output terminal 17 is prevented from being guided to the input terminal 18 when a light emitting element D1 emits light and is guided to the input terminal 18 when at least data is received.
