Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the magnetic characteristic of a magnetic material used as a magnetostrictive element. SOLUTION: The band-state magnetic materials 2 before cutting off into a fine piece are carried into a heating furnace 5. Eight pieces of the magnetic materials 2 are parallelly laid on an endless belt 12 and passed through the heating furnace 5 accompanied with the shift of the endless belt 12. In the inner part of the heating furnace 5, permanent magnets oppositely arranged so as to interpose eight pieces of the magnetic materials in the width direction in one lump, are arranged to impress a fixed intensive magnetic field to the magnetic materials 2 in the width direction. During passing through the heating furnace 5, the magnetic material 2 is slowly cooled to the room temp. after slowly heating to 305 deg.C, to be annealed in the fixed magnetic field.
