Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mirror-finishing a metallic surface, whereby the metallic surface can be polished into a scratch-free high-glossiness mirror surface, the polishing efficiency is good, the working environment is not worsened, and the polishing can be performed at a low cost. SOLUTION: This invention provide a liquid composition for metal polishing comprising an emulsified dispersion containing 2-20wt.% abrasive grains having a means particle diameter of 0.3-3μm, 1-10wt.% fat and oil and 1-3wt.% surfactant and having a viscosity of 1dPa.s or below and a method for mirror- finishing a metallic surface comprising feeding the above composition to the surface to be polished and polishing the surface with a buff for finishing a coated surface at a buff periphery velocity of 100-1,500m/min.
