NEW IMIDAZOBENZOTHIAZINE DERIVATIVE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new derivative expected to have utility as medicine and agrochemical, by converting a specific cyanomethyl compound into an imidate. SOLUTION: This derivative is shown by formula I (R1 and R1 are each H, a 1-2C alkyl, a halogen or nitro) such as imidazobenzothiazine. The compound is obtained, for example, by imidating a 1,4-benzothiazinenitrile derivative of formula II in the presence of a basic catalyst such as NaOMe in an alcohol solvent such as methanol, heating the prepared imidate in acetic acid with ammonium acetate under reflux, neutralizing the reaction solution with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and extracting the resultant substance with ethyl acetate.
