MANUFACTURE OF SOUNDING SAND AND MANUFACTURED SOUNDING SAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture sounding sand with good sensitivity in a short time by putting raw material mainly composed of sand in a container, continuously pouring hot water in the container, continuously discharging the poured hot water through a filter, and continuously vibrating the container at least in the respective directions in the vertical plane in the meantime. SOLUTION: When sand is poured in a container 1, hot water is poured in the container continuously and the poured hot water is discharged continuously through a filter 6. For example, sand is at a level lower than the filter 6 and water is discharged through the filter 6 of mesh equal to or smaller than the minimum particle size of sand which becomes sounding sand. With the above operation, the container 1 is continuously vibrated at least in the respective directions in the vertical plane.
