TOOL CONVEYING METHOD FOR MATRIX TYPE TOOL MAGAZINE AND MATRIX TYPE TOOL MAGAZINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a tool, which must be conveyed, in a short time without interfering with the other tool during storage, so that the tool can be conveyed. SOLUTION: In a matrix type tool magazine, a plurality of tool pots 12 for storing a standard dimensional tool 7 and a long dimensional tool 8 are arranged in a matrix shape, and, between this tool pot 12 and a tool pot 12x in a tool replacing position S3 in a tool magazine side, the tool is conveyed. A champed part of the tool 7, 8, which must be conveyed, is clamped by a tool hand capable of mounting/removing, in an axial line direction of the tool 7, 8 stored in the tool pot, the tool hand is forward/backward moved, relating to the tool pot 12 or the tool pot 12x in the tool replacing position S3 , the tool 7, 8 is mounted/removed, and, after extracting forward the tool 7, 8 which must be conveyed until a rear end part of the tool 7, 8 which must be conveyed is positioned in a forward position of a prescribed distance from a front end part of the standard dimensional tool 7 during storage provided in a moving route 38, 39, 39a of this tool 7, 8, this forward extracted tool 7, 8 moved between front positions of the tool pot 12 and the tool replacing position S3 .
