Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic target identifying method by which the target which is designated before firing, can be identified from a plurality of articles, after the firing of an airframe. SOLUTION: When a target A1 and two articles A2, A3 are designated, based on a sight image 1 of an opposite party, which is photographed before firing an airframe, a first layout information which shows the positional relationship of the target A1 and the articles A2, A3, forming a triangle, is formed, and the information is memorized by the airframe. When the airframe is fired, the airframe renews the first layout information in order as shown in (3), based on moving speeds V1, V2. When a space stabilizing image 5 is cut out from a frame image 4 of the region of the opposite party, which is obtained by a second photographing means loaded on the airframe, a second layout information which shows the positional relationship for articles B1-B4 included in the space stabilizing image 5, is formed, and the article B1 corresponding with the target A1, is identified by obtaining the correlation between the first layout information which is renewed in order and the second layout information.
