Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement of safety by charging an air space between an insulating gasket and a metal supporter, provided in an opening part of a metal can receiving a generating element, with a high water absorptive resin. SOLUTION: In an opening part of a metal can 2 receiving a generating element, an insulating gasket 1 and a metal supporter 5 are provided. An air space 7 between the insulating gasket 1 and the metal supporter 5 is charged with a high water absorptive resin 14 of 20 to 200μm grain size. When an internal pressure of a battery is increased by generating of hydrogen gas, a thin thickness part 8 provided in the insulating gasket 1 is broken, hydrogen gas and an electrolyte are infiltrated in the air space 7. The high water absorptive resin 14 in the air space 7 absorbs the electrolyte, to be swollen, to pass through a ventilating hole 9 of the metal supporter 5, and made to infiltrate in an air space between the metal supporter 5 and a negative electrode terminal 4, hydrogen gas is released from a ventilating hole 10 of the negative electrode terminal 4. |
