JOINT STRUCTURE OF SHIELD SEGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure in which a joint member is not exposed on an inner face of a segment, change the rigidity of a joint part and its elasticity for external force arbitrarily as required, correspond to a large cross section of a tunnel, and provide the additional contact effect of rings. SOLUTION: In a segment 1, a joint hole 5 is provided on a ring join face 1a which is an end face in the axial direction of a tunnel, and a joint member 2A protrudes a pin part 4 at both ends to form one-end opened square. The pin parts 4 at both ends of the joint member 2A are fitted in joint holes 5 of the segments in which piece join faces 1b which are end faces in the peripheral direction of the tunnel are abutted, respectively, to connect the segments mutually. A groove 6 in which a part 3 other than the pin part of the joint member 2A is fitted is provided on the ring join face 1a. If the joint member 2A is in the shape of character H, rings can be connected.
