Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which enables detecting leakage of refrigerant quickly and surely. SOLUTION: On a side of a body 21 a refrigerant leakage sensor 41 is placed close to the part of connection between refrigerant-connecting pipes 31, 33 and refrigerant piping 35, 37. The refrigerant leakage sensor 41 detects a fall of oxygen concentration below a specific value and thereupon outputs a leakage detection signal to a controller of an indoor unit 1. The input of the leakage detection signal makes the controller blow an alarm in an alarming device, thus while issuing a warning on the leakage of refrigerant to the user on the one hand, the operation of the air conditioner is stopped.
