CARGO HANDLING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform positioning in the traveling direction by means of a simple structure by arranging position regulating means, by which both conveyed objects are moved in the same direction toward both extension passive parts, between the extension passive parts and conveyed object supporting parts in both extensible beams. SOLUTION: When a switching valve 47 is set in a neutral condition while both cylinder devices 40A, 40B are set in a locked condition, a driving motor 34 for an extension driving device 30 is driven normally/reversely, so that extension passive parts 26A, 26B are moved normally/reversely via sprockets 31, 32, a chain 33 and the like. The normal/reverse shift of the extension passive parts 26A, 26B extends/shrinks extensible beams 23A, 23B via both cylinder devices 40A, 40B, and a pitch between connecting apparatuses 27A, 27B is adjusted to the length of a container. If traveling directional positioning stop precision is not good, the switching valve 47 is switched to the left/right, and conveyed object supporting members 24A, 24b are extended/shrunk to the fixed extension passive parts 26A, 26B via the cylinder devices 40A, 40B, and as a result, connecting apparatuses 27A, 27B are positioned.
