Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet for label excellent in anti-blur effect of transferred image and image preservation properties in which a highly clear noise suppressed smooth transfer image having density corresponding to image information can be transferred and recorded with high reproducibility onto an image receiving layer excellent in surface smoothness, elasticity and flexibility while suppressing temporal blurring and fading of transferred image extremely. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer sheet for label has an image receiving layer 1 for receiving dye from a thermal transfer sheet composed of a resin compound principally comprising polyvinyl chloride added with ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer as a polymer plasticizer and a one kind or more of other plasticizer. A supporting material 3 is formed on the rear side of the image receiving layer 1 through an adhesive layer 5. A white lining layer 7 may be provided between the image receiving layer 1 and the adhesive layer 5.
