RESIN COATING METHOD FOR CABLE UNIT AND HEAT SEAL DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily applying a resin coat on a short section with respect to the longitudinal direction of a cable unit having a large diameter socket at both ends of the cable main body. SOLUTION: A resin sheet 11 having a thermally contracting property considerably longer than the outer periphery length of a cable main body is rolled so as to surround the cable main body 1. By superimposing both ends thereof, a superimposed part 12 is formed. By detaching the superimposed part 12 from the surface of the cable main body 1, placing a first force piston 15 inside thereof, placing a second force piston 16 outside thereof, and pressing and heating the superimposed part 12 by both force pistons, a cylindrical member 11A can be formed out of the resin sheet. The cylindrical member 11A is moved to a position for the resin coat. By the thermal contraction at the position, a cable unit is coated. Accordingly, an optional position with respect to the longitudinal direction of the cable unit can be resin coated preferably.
