PRODUCTION OF HIGHLY WATER ABSORBING WOVEN AND KNITTED FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the woven and knitted fabrics excellent in water absorbing properties but not causing greasiness with sweat, having spun yarn-like swelling, useful for clothing, by weaving and knitting a specific conjugate sheath-core false twist textured yarn comprising polyester multifilament yarns as a core part and a sheath part. SOLUTION: A conjugate sheath-core false twist textured yarn (the sheath part is wound on the core part in an alternately twisting way) comprising polyester multifilament yarns as a core and a sheath parts, having 0.1-1 denier of constituent single yarn fineness of the core part and 1.5-5 denier of constituent single yarn fineness of the sheath part and 5-20% of difference in yarn length between the sheath and the core parts is woven and knitted. The cross section of the single yarn of the polyester multifilament yarn is preferably a modified cross section.
