LINEAR MOTOR SYSTEM ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate construction and maintenance work for a device mounted on a balance weight by overhanging a car and attaching a work base for construction and maintenance to the upper part of the car close to a balance weight. SOLUTION: In an elevator equipped with a trunk having a machine room installed on the top of a building and using a linear motor having a trunk 10 attached to a car 1 in a direction opposite a car door, a balance weight 4 is disposed to travel in the side face of the car 1 via a hoist and a rope 3, connected by the car 1 and the rope 3, and the rope 3 is disposed like a well bucket in the top part of a hoistway. The primary winding wire 5 of the linear motor is mounted on the balance weight 4 and a secondary conductor 51 is fixed in the hoistway. In this case, a work base 11 and a handrail 12 are attached to the upper par of the car 1 to be overhung from the car 1 to the balance weight 4 side. Thus, installing and maintenance of a linear elevator device mounted on the balance weight 4 are easily and safely carried out.
