Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly execute error processing by allowing a relay instruction station in relay multiple address communication to execute an optimum error processing depending on a processing capability of a relay station. SOLUTION: In the case of detecting an error, a communication error detection section 42 gives a prescribed signal in response to a type of errors to a CPU 12, and the CPU 12 detects production an error that is not recovered regardless of re-dialing based on the signal. Furthermore, a program stored in a ROM 28 to control relay multiple address communication processing includes all programs for the operation as a relay instruction station, a relay station and a destination station. When an error is produced, a CPU 12 of a terminal equipment A executes a control routine through the execution instruction of relay multiple address communication by an operation display device 18 of the instruction station side and the processing capability of the relay station is discriminated. When the discrimination is possible, the optimum error processing method in response to the processing capability of the relay station is set and stored in a RAM 14.
