Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply adjust a PLL circuit in the magnetic reproducing device for fetching and processing regenerative signals obtained from plural magnetic heads arranged at different heights by an odd track pitch respectively by inputting these regenerative signals in the lump to the PLL circuit. SOLUTION: The regenerative signals RFMA-RFSH obtained from main- and sub-magnetic heads 2MA and 2SA, 2MB and 2SB,... and 2MH and 2SH are inputted in the lump to their respective regenerative signal processing circuits 3A-3H. Now, by scanning a free-rum frequency of the PLL circuit 5, a frequency just before unlocking of the PLL circuit 5 can be detected without any tracking control and without detecting timing for on-tracking of each magnetic head either. Then, the PLL circuit 5 can be set to an optimum free-run frequency by the detected frequency.
