Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for high-accurately copying an image by using an electrophotographic printing equipment, in particular, to easily change the position, the shape and the size of a process control patch. SOLUTION: The process control patch 310 is used for improving the quality of the image before printing is performed. The intensity of light reflected from the patch 310 is measured, and the measured value is used for changing such parameters as an electrostatic charge and toner density before a latent image 320 is developed. By adjusting these parameters, a printer can copy the image with more excellent quality than heretofore.
