Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and small support structure to facilitate control of damping characteristics and damp vibration even when a rotary shaft is rotated at a high-order critical speed. SOLUTION: A gap 29 is provided between an inner ring 28 to support a bearing 2 and an outer ring 30 to support an inner ring 28. An ERF unit 31 having an ERF 34 having viscosity changing according to an applying electric field is contained in the gap. The number of revolutions of a rotary shaft 1 is detected by a number of revolutions sensor 38, and according to the number of revolutions, an electric field applied on the ERF unit 31 is controlled by a controller 37 and the damping characteristics of vibration are controlled.
