LIGHT GUIDE BODY UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide body unit capable of protecting a circular glass plate connected to an end surface of an optical fiber and effectively holding it. SOLUTION: In the light guide body unit 10 holding the transparent circular glass plate 14 so as to joint on at least one end of the plastic optical fiber 13 by a hold member, by using a fluorine resin tube 15 as the hold member, heat resistance is improved, and the glass plate 14 is protected. Further, by using a fluorine resin shrink tube 16 as the hold member holding the glass plate 14, the glass plate 14 is protected and fixed simultaneously when a light guide body unit is manufactured. Further, by covering the glass plate 14 by the length of 1-15% of the diameter of the glass plate 14 toward the inside of the glass plate 14 with the fluorine resin tube 15, the edge part of the glass plate 14 is protected.
