Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a wear resistant material in which wear of hard particles is extremely small and furthermore capable of realizing smooth sliding operation. SOLUTION: This material is the one in which many hard particles 3 composed of spherical particles of cobalt radicals harder than aluminum are buried in the inner circumferential face of a pipe shaped body 1 of aluminum easy to be subjected to machining, the gap parts in these hard particles 3 are applied with a lubricant 9 composed of the powder of polyethylene tetrafluoride, the hard particles 3 are composed, for example, by mixing large sized particles 3a with small sized particles 3b, the retio of the large sized particles 3a to the small sized particles 3b is set to >=6/4, furthermore, in the inner circumferential face of the pipe shaped body 1, the hard particles 3 are buried into plural steps to form a layered part whose thickness lies in the range of 10 to 500μm, and the area ratio which is the ratio of the set value of the projected area of the hard particles 3 to the surface area of the inner circumferential face of the pipe shaped body 1 is set to the range of 25 to 80%.
