EMPLOYMENT OF BENZAZEPINE-N-ACETIC ACID DERIVATIVE FOR PRODUCING MEDICINAL PREPARATION FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING GASTROINTESTINAL HEMATOGENOUS INJURY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject medicinal preparation containing a specific benzazepine-N-acetic acid derivative as an active ingredient, having a blood circulation-promoting action for mesenteric vessel structure in man or large mammalian, and capable of preventing and treating gastrointestinal injuries accompanying the decrease in the blood circulation of gastrointestine. SOLUTION: This preparation is prepared by using a compound of the formula (R is a phenyl lower alkyl or naphthyl lower alkyl which may be substituted by a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or a halogen on the phenyl or naphthyl group; R is H, a biologically unstable ester-producing group; R is H, a biologically unstable ester-producing group) or its physiologically acceptable salt. The compound of the formula includes (3S,2'R)-3- 1-[2'-(ethoxycarbonyl)-4'-phenyl-butyl]- cyclopentane-1-carbonylamino}-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-2-oxo-1H-1-benzazepin e-1-acetic acid. The compound of the formula is obtained by a known method.
