Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condition detecting device for an object buried in the underground capable of accurately detecting, on the ground, the condition, e.g. a malfunction condition of the object buried in the underground without digging into the ground. SOLUTION: This device comprises a damage detection sensor 10 that is buried together with a gas pipe 1, detects a damage condition of the gas pipe 1 and outputs a signal, a signal transmitter 1 2 that is connected to the damage detection sensor 10 and receives the signal therefrom to transmit a signal wave on the ground and a receiver 14 that receives the signal wave from the signal transmitter 12 on the ground.
