Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the intrusion of a foreign object into a coupling device by arranging a plurality of oil exit holes such that among the bottom surfaces of the full length of the oil exit holes, there is always one located in a position lower than a horizontal line being in contact with the lower end of the opening part of a plate assembly irrespective of the angle position of the plate assembly. SOLUTION: Grease softened because of a temperature increase caused by slipping heat during a coupling operation or a foreign object such as water, oil or the like entering from the outside is transmitted to the groove part 34 of a plate assembly 26 and when the coupling device is in a rotational state, the grease or the foreign object is discharged to the outside of the coupling device in which the diameter of an oil drain hole 35 is enlarged by a centrifugal force. On the other hand, when the coupling device is in a stationary state, the foreign object is transmitted to the annular groove part 34 of the plate assembly 26, then transmitted on a bottom wall surface 35a on the full length of the oil drain hole 35 positioned lower than the lower end of the opening part 26a of the plate assembly 26 before reaching the same by the action of a gravitational force and discharged to the outside of the coupling device like that shown by an arrow (h).
