DEVICE FOR PREVENTING THERMAL DEFORMATION OF ROLLING ROLL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal deformation preventing device for rolling rolls for decreasing the temp. difference between the middle part and end parts of a roll and for reducing the amount of thermal crown of the roll by constituting it so that only the threading part of the rolling roll is selectively cooled. SOLUTION: Parting boards 3 whose tip parts have a shape along the outside diameter of the rolling roll 1 in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the rolling roll 1 are arranged and actuators 6 for moving these parting boards 3 in the axial direction are provided. And, plural spray nozzles 2 whose flow rate is controllable are arranged in the axial direction of the rolling roll 1, and, by controlling the position of the parting board 3 in accordance with the width of a sheet in rolling and the flow rate of the spray nozzle 2, only the part where the rolled stock is threaded is taken as a cooling region.
