PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a facsimile equipment as a scanner and a printer respectively. SOLUTION: An original is set at a reading part 3 of a facsimile equipment 12, and a PB signal output part 7 inputs a PB signal to a circuit connection part 21 of a PC 29 via a circuit connection part 9. The PC 29 detects the PB signal via a PB signal detection part 25 and starts the FAX communication to fetch the image data. When the image data of the PC 29 are recorded by the device 12, a ringer output part 24 of the PC 29 inputs a ringer signal to the part 9 of the device 12 via a circuit connection part 21. The device 12 detects the ringer signal via a ringer detection part 6 and then carries out the FAX communication. Then the device 12 receives the image information and prints it out via a recording part 4.
