NETWORK COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the connection time of a communication line and to reduce the communication rate. SOLUTION: In a system where a terminal equipment T1 accesses to a host machine 3 through a large area communication network 1, a LAN corresponding a terminal adapter 5 once cuts the line and a system waits for connection from a network communication controller 4 when data does not flow for more than a prescribed time on the communication line by processing a host machine 3-side after the connection of the communication line. The network communication controller 4 stores the corresponding table of the MAC address of the terminal equipment T1 and a communication line number. When the host machine 3 inputs data returned to the terminal equipment T1 from the LAN2, the communication line number corresponding to the MAC address of a transmission destination included in input data is obtained from the stored information. The transmission destination is automatically called through the large area communication network 1, the line is connected and data is transmitted to a terminal equipment T1 -side.
