Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition, comprising a specific glycine derivative (salt) and an amine oxide-based surfactant, causing low irritation to the skin, excellent in foaming properties, texture and feeling of use and suitable as a detergent, etc., for bodies. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) a glycine derivative (salt) of the formula (R is a 5-21C alkyl, an alkenyl or a hydroxyalkyl) such as sodium N-lauroyl-N-carboxyethylglycinate and (B) an amine oxide-based surfactant such as lauryldimethylamine oxide. The blending weight ratio (A)/(B) of the ingredients (A) to (B) is preferably (50/1) to (5/1) and the sum total of the blended ingredients (A) and (B) is preferably 5-90wt.% in the whole composition. The pH of an aqueous solution when diluting the detergent composition to a weight of 10 times with water is preferably 4-8.
