Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition, comprising a specific glycine derivative (salt), a polyhydric alcohol or a glycol ether in a specific proportion, causing low irritation, excellent in foaming properties and feeling of use and suitable as a detergent, etc., for bodies. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) preferably 5-90wt.% glycine derivative (salt) of the formula (R is a 5-21C alkyl, an alkenyl or a hydroxyalkyl) such as sodium N-lauroyl-N-carboxyethylglycinate and (B) preferably 1-70wt.% polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol or a glycol ether such as ethylene glycol monomethyl ether. Furthermore, the pH of an aqueous solution when diluting the detergent composition to a weight of 10 times with water is preferably 4-8.
