Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element driving method capable of improving a selective rate of a scan electrode and remarkably reducing a change rate of a voltage size of a data electrode drive signal. SOLUTION: A fixed part of a scan electrode drive signal applied to adjacent scan electrodes is applied successively so as to be superposed in terms of orthogonal function, and by applying it to a data electrode so that the data electrode drive signal is changed after holding an intermediate voltage level, or periodically applying the scan electrode drive signal to the scan electrodes adjacent to an opposite polarity, the selective rate of the scan electrode is enhanced, and the occurrence of a differential waveform is minimized, and cross talk produced in an image is reduced.
