Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-refractive index composition for plastic lens, containing a specific polyisocyanate component and a polythiol component component, useful in the production of lenses of low dispersion, high refractive index, low water absorption and excellent surface hardness. SOLUTION: This composition for lens comprises (A) tris(isocyanatomethylthio)methane (for example, thioglycolic acid is allowed to react with formic acid to form tris(carboxylmethylthio)methane, which is allowed to react with a lower alcohol and the product is allowed to react with hydrazine hydrate to give tris(hydrazinocarbonylmethylthio)methane, which is converted to the objective compound), and (B) the component containing 2, 2-bis(mercaptomethyl)-1, 3-propanedithiol, 1, 2, 4-tris(mercaptomethyl)benzene, 1, 2-bis[(2-mercaptoethyl)thio]-3-mercaptopropane or 4, 8-bis(mercaptomethyl)-3, 6, 9-trithia-1, 11-undecanedithiol. |
