PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder which can fix an article to be attracted easily by magnetically-attracting it firmly at a prescribed position, and permits it to be removed easily by releasing attracting power. SOLUTION: This holder 10 is provided with a frame member, a holding member 20, operating lever 40 and so on which form a plane stationary yoke part 42 where magnetic substances 46a-46f and the non-magnetic substances 48a-48e are disposed adjacent to each other, a plane rotating yoke part 28 where magnetic substances 34a-34f and magnetic pieces 36a-36e are disposed adjacent to each other and which is rotatably-arranged on one main surface side of the stationary yoke 42, a rotating member which rotates the rotating yoke part 28 on the same center line as the stationary yoke part 42, and controls the magnitude of magnetic intensity on the other main surface side upon which the magnetic poles of the magnetic pieces 36a-36e have an influence, and attracts an article to be magnetically-attracted onto the stationary yoke part 42.
