Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniformity in the temp. distribution and thermal response in a roller fixing method by laminating a polyimide layer on one surface of a metal heater element on the surface of a phenol resin tube so that both are integrated into one body to form a planer heater body. SOLUTION: A rotating axis 12 having a boss 13 and a flange 15 on both ends is attached to both ends of a phenol resin tube 9 containing 100 pts.wt. phenol resin and 100-400 pts.wt. glass fiber. A polyimide film 17 with an adhesive applied on both surfaces is applied on the phenol resin tube 9 and a flexible planer heater body 18 is applied to obtain a fixing roller 16 for a copying machine. The flexible planer heater body is produced by coating at least one surface of a heater element comprising a metal foil such as stainless steel and iron-nickel allay with a polyimide insulating layer and then forming into one body. The thickness of the heater element is 10-50μm and the polyimide insulating part is preferably 5-50μm thick. |
