Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive a compact a constitution as a whole while forming a length of an intake passage long. SOLUTION: A plurality of cylinders 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d arranged in series are divided into cylinder groups 4a, 4d, 4b, 4c with an intake stroke discontinued, and independent intake passages 3a, 3d, 3b, 3c independent of each other, collective passage 5a, 5b collecting these independent intake passages and resonance intake passages 6a, 6b are provided in each cylinder group. An intake device 1 is constituted by collecting the passage in a total unit collective passage 8. The independent intake passage is formed to be curved in almost reverse U shape as viewed by side so as to embrace a space in the downward, and the total unit collective passage 8 is arranged parallelly in the direction arranging the cylinder in the space. The collective passage is arranged to be lined in the direction arranging the cylinder, and the resonance intake passage, after extended almost vertically downward from the collective passage in a surface almost orthogonal respectively to a cylinder arranging direction, is extended upward, connected to the total unit collective passage 8 and formed to be curved in U shape.
