Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method, by which the wettability on the surface of a steel strip just before applying an antioxidant is improved and the antioxidant can uniformly be applied, in a continuous annealing and pickling method of a cold-rolled stainless steel strip having the antioxidant applying process before the annealing process. SOLUTION: A flame treatment device 6 is arranged just before an antioxidant applying device 7. In this flame treatment device 6, line burners L extended in the width direction of the steel strip S are arranged so as to put the combustion flame of gas onto the surface of the steel strip S. Dirt of oil, etc., stuck to the surface of the steel strip S is burned off by this combustion flame.
