WATER-IN-OIL TYPE EMULSION COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic which has excellent emulsion stability and refresh and cool feelings by adding a polyoxyalkylene modified silicone of a specific molecular weight as an emulsifier to the components comprising a silicone oil containing oil phase and a lower alcohol. SOLUTION: The system of (A) an oil phase containing one or two or more kinds of silicone oils (10-70wt.%) and (B) a lower alcohol (1-30wt.%) is combined with (C) a polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone with a weight-average molecular weight of 70,000-400,000 (0.05-8wt.%) and (D) water (5-85wt.%) where (A)/(D) is 1/8-10/1. As a component (B), a compound of formula I (R is H, an acyl, an alkyl; (a) is 1-5; (b) is 1-100; (c) is 0-50); (m) is 700-3,000; (n) is 1-100) is cited. In addition, for example, potassium sulfate or sodium citrate may be added to this system in an amount of about 0.05-10wt.%. This cosmetic may be combined with a large amount of water according to its applications.
