BASE ISOLATING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vertical tensile force from acting on a laminated rubber type base isolating device. SOLUTION: This base isolating structure has a base isolating device 14 interposed between the skeleton 10 and foundation 12 of a building structure and an auxiliary base isolating device 16. The auxiliary base isolating device 16 is set in a position where the bent part 20a of an arm part 20 is opposed to a plate 18, and has a ring-like laminated body 16a, and ring-like upper and lower end plates 16b, 16c arranged above and under the laminated body 16a. The laminated body 16a is formed of a plurality of ring-like highly damping rubber plates 16d and a plurality of ring-like plates 16e alternately inserted and laminated between the respective rubber plates 16d. The upper end plate 16b arranged on the upper surface side of the laminated body 16a is fixed to the lower surface side of the bent part 20a of the arm part 20, and the lower end plate 16c arranged on the lower surface side is fixed to the upper surface of the plate 18.
