FORMATION OF AQUEOUS SLAKED LIME SOLUTION AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for forming a clean aq. slaked lime soln. with high consumption efficiency of slaked lime and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: This apparatus for forming the aq. slaked lime soln. has a slurry vessel 14 for forming a slaked lime slurry, a slurry pump 34 for withdrawing the slaked lime slurry with fixed quantity from this slurry vessel, a transfer pipe 36 for line mixing and a setting and separating vessel 16 for separating undissolved matter from the aq. slaked lime soln. A slaked lime supplying means having a supplying device 22 with fixed quantity for supplying the slaked lime with the fixed quantity and a water feed pipe 26 for feeding water are respectively connected to the slurry vessel. A water pouring pipe 38 is connected to this transfer pipe. The crude aq. slaked lime soln. having a satd. concn. or below is formed by pouring the water to the slaked lime slurry withdrawn by the slurry pump. The settling and separating vessel has an inclined settling device 40. The undissolved matter is separated from the crude aq. slaked lime soln., by which the feeding of the clean aq. slaked lime soln. is made possible.
