Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight and inexpensive unit lifting device for an automatic ticket examination machine which is allowed to be installed in narrow space between a main body and a unit. SOLUTION: The automatic ticket examination machine unit lifting device A for lifting up a card handler unit 3 for the automatic ticket examination machine from the main body is provided with front and rear linear slides 5 for guiding the unit 3 so as to optionally lift up it, a pair of geared cables 7 wired so as to be moved along respective slides 5 and connected to the units 5, L-shaped guide pipes 6 for guiding the cables 7, and a driving mechanism 10 consisting of a motor M connected to the horizontal parts of the pipes 6 and a drive conversion part for converting the rotary motion of the motor M into the tuned reciprocating motion of the cables 7.
