METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COOLING AND DRYING SHEET-LIKE MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for cooling and drying sheet- like materials wherein the backflow of cooling air due to a cooling fan is eliminated, wherein working environment is significantly improved, cooling efficiency higher than conventional is obtained with the same fan capacity as conventional, and increase in the amount of process air exhausted to the outside is controlled. CONSTITUTION: A cooling and drying apparatus includes a partitioned chamber 1 provided with a transporting means 5 that transports sheet-like hung materials W. An exhaust port 7 through which cooling air Q used for cooling and drying is exhausted by an exhausting means 6 is formed on one side of the partitioned chamber 1. A supply port 9 chamber 1 through which the air is introduced by a supplying means 8 is formed on the other side of the partitioned. A plurality of circulating fans 10 for circulating cooling air Q in the partitioned chamber 1 are installed on the sides 1a opposed to one another in the partitioned chamber 1.
