GARBAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid corrosive properties of garbage due to bad odor, improve safety of operation, and inexpensively manufacture a garbage processing apparatus and miniaturize the apparatus, the garbage processing apparatus serving to deodorize bad odor produced from garbage by annularly disposing a sheath heater on a heater for heating a catalyst. SOLUTION: A deodorizing means 14 is provided on the middle of a drainage pipe 12, and is comprised of a honeycomb-shaped catalyst 18 disposed on the upper portion of a catalyst heater 17 and of a heater insulation member 19. The catalyst 18 is formed by carrying platinum metal on cordierite. The catalyst heater 17 uses a substantially annularly formed sheath heater. The sheath heater is covered on an outer sheath with stainless steel that is an anti-corrosive material whereby there can be prevented corrosion due to bad odor including water vapor and acetic acid. Thus, there can be kept safety of deodorizing means of a garbage processing apparatus of such a type that condensed water is drained to the drainage pipe 12.
