Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the circuit cost and also to transmit both sound information and facsimile information at a time and in parallel to each other. SOLUTION: In this broadcast communication system, a master station 13 and many slave stations 16a, 16b, 16c... are connected to a single circuit in a multidrop way. The station 13 multiplexes the sound information obtained by compressing and encoding the input received from a sound input part 11, the compressed and encoded facsimile information received from a facsimile equipment 10, and the control information including the destination information produced, based on the input received from an operating part 12 and sends these multiplexed information to a circuit. Each slave station receives the multiplex signal from the circuit to separate and detect the sound information, facsimile information and control information and then decides whether its own station is designated by the destination information included in the control information. If the station is designated by the destination information, the received sound information is decoded and outputted through a sound output part 18 and also the received facsimile information is outputted via a facsimile equipment 17.
