Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip coil whose soldering strength is excellent and whose Q is high. SOLUTION: A groove 12 is formed at the outer edge of a flange 9, on one side, out of flanges 8, 9 at both ends of a winding trunk part 7. Taper parts 13a, 13b in which the side of the outer edge of the flange becomes short are formed on both side faces of the flange which is parallel to the groove. One or more pairs of external electrodes 10a, 10b are formed at the outer edge of the flange sandwiching the groove and at the taper parts.
